So far, we have conducted 2 clinical RCT studies and more than 20 pilot studies. Below we have compiled a list of the studies where VR exercise with SYNCSENSE® has been investigated and evaluated. VR exercise has today been examined on hospitalized patients and citizens at hospitals, rehabilitation centers, temporary rehabilitation spots, nursing homes, residential facilities, and neurorehabilitation centers.
Furthermore, astronaut Andreas Mogensen, along with the rest of the ESA and NASA crew on the International Space Station (ISS), has investigated how VR can improve mental and physical health (read feedback HERE).
Clinical Evidence of VR Training with SYNCSENSE®
2nd clinical RCT study and its results: The RCT study has been completed, but the results have not yet been published and made public.
1st Clinical RCT Study and Its Results: In a clinical RCT study, the effect of VR cycling exercise was examined among elderly citizens placed in temporary 24-hour covered rehabilitation spots. The study showed that the elderly citizens had a positive experience with VR, and the group that cycled with VR had a significant increase in quality of life compared to the group that cycled without VR. Furthermore, the study showed a significantly reduced workload for the staff in the group of citizens offered VR cycling training (read the study HERE).
The study was conducted in collaboration between the University of Copenhagen, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital, Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, and Gentofte Municipality.
